Women’s Book Discussion: The Short & Tragic Life of Robert Peace

On November 9, Janice Voth will lead a discussion of The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace by Jeff Hobbs. This 2014 book tells the true story of Robert Peace, who grew up in an impoverished community near Newark, NJ and earned the “golden ticket”—admission to an Ivy League college. His life straddled the competing forces of poverty and privilege and included many obstacles.
