Children are a blessing from the Lord. At Christ Church Vienna we want to show kids of all ages the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ. We want the church family to be a safe place of connecting to other kids and adults, we want kids to grow up with great memories of their time in church.
Reporting Child or Youth Abuse
If you observe or suspect the abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, report suspected abuse to the following immediately:
- Virginia Child Protective Services (CPS): 800-552-7096 (for inside VA); OR 804-786-8536 (for outside VA)
- Fairfax County CPS: 703-324-7400
- The Clergy and Council of CCV

After reporting the abuse to local authorities, please complete the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic’s (DOMA) Reporting Form so we know about the incident and can provide trauma-informed care to all parties involved.

Since Christ Church Vienna highly values the safety of its children, the Council and Staff have adopted the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic’s (DOMA) Child Protection Policy. That policy can be downloaded here:
CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
All Staff, Council and Anyone Working with Minors are required to comply with DOMA’s Child Protection Policy and to be Certified through CCV’s Child Protection Training (CPT). To be certified, you will need to:
- Complete & Return the CCV Volunteer Application—Application PDF Available Here.
- Attend a CCV Child Protection Training Seminar–Email [email protected] for upcoming Seminar dates or to register.
- Face to face Interview with CCV Staff or a CCV Representative.
- The CPT Team will also run a Background Check and follow up with References provided on the Application.
