Missionary Pastor in Residence

Logan Gates grew up in Vienna but has spent the last ten years in Toronto, Canada, working in the area of Christian apologetics and pursuing a PhD in political theory. He has a heart for people to encounter God for themselves by exploring tough questions about the Christian faith. In Toronto, Logan met his wife Samantha (a native Canadian!). Their son Lewis was born in 2025.

Logan is serving as Missionary Pastor in Residence at CCV while he and his family prepare to serve as missionaries in Chile with the Society for Anglican Missionaries and Senders (SAMS). Logan’s time at CCV will be split across a number of ministries as he builds experience to prepare to serve in a church plant in Chile. 

Logan loves running – rain, shine, or snow – and deep conversation over a cup of tea! He is an avid fan of C.S. Lewis and a collector of early editions of his works.
