In the letter to the Romans, Paul writes about the gospel of God, the very power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, in which the righteousness of God is revealed. In Romans he teaches us that what God does defines what righteousness is. And he implicitly asks us today, what is your view of God, the one true God as he has revealed himself to be in scripture and on the cross, or a god who fits your mental image? Is your faith in the holy, wholly other, God or a domesticated pet version?
