OASIS | Women’s Gathering

OASIS is a time of inspiration and encouragement for women. We’re meeting via Zoom during the Covid-19 pandemic. After a brief time of socializing, one woman shares a chapter from her walk with Christ. Then follows an open time of Q&A.
CCV Council member Julie Sokol will share her adventures raising a special needs child as a single parent and how the Lord used this journey to reel her in spiritually to enjoy His Presence, mercy, and joy. Julie was a former school teacher to at-risk youth in Houston, Texas before moving to Virginia for better autism support services for her son, Adrian. Over time she earned a Master’s degree at GMU while teaching full-time and moved on to government contracting. She is now a federal Mission Outreach Manager with a DHS IT program, but her passion is praying for and connecting with marginalized groups, especially those with special needs.
